The key points for the brand refreshing of NCTS and The Civic Theatre are communicating the stories and communities around the region. Balancing the visual approach between literal and conceptual leads to. The mosaic of geometric shapes and imageries represents the stories that each individuals brings to the community.

NCTS is the cinema primary cultural connector for Nelson and the Kootenay region. We bring great ideas to our community and put great ideas out into the world. In an era where people feel increasingly disconnected and distant from the world, our diverse programs and films create a space for everyone in our region to come together, have fun, and feel connected.

The Civic Theatre logo is constructed from simple geometric shapes. By simplifying each letter into its most basic shape and then layering all three shapes into a square, the outline of The Civic Theatre logo is born.
